BACK TO SCHOOL is a collection of photography and documentary film, examining the human cost of the education funding crisis that has decimated Philadelphia’s public schools.

In addition to the reForm Project, a group of concerned artists are documenting the shuttered schools, as well as the stories of students, teachers, and parents whose lives have been changed by this crisis. Back to School bears witness to the effect of school closures, while exploring the multifaceted ways that Philadelphians are organizing to change one the nation’s most inequitable school systems.
